Diabetic Eye Disease Screening
Diabetes sufferers may experience changes in their vision; these are more common with poorly controlled blood sugar. Diabetics often show changes in the blood vessels of the retina at the back of the eye, which can damage their eyesight.
Your eyes can be monitored for any diabetes related problems by
using a retinal camera to photograph the backs of your eyes.
Sometimes eyedrops will be used to dilate your pupil allowing a
clearer picture, but this is not always necessary.
