Eye Irritation & Infection

Sore, red, irritated eyes? Contact lens wearer?

Whilst you may simply need moisturising eye drops, some red eyes require treatment with anti-inflammatory or antibiotic drops, which your optometrist can prescribe. For some eye conditions, referral to an ophthalmologist (eye specialist) may be necessary.

If you wear contact lenses and your eye is painful, a prompt examination is recommended as you may have something more serious, like an ulcer.
