Visual Field Screening
Our visual field is how much of the world around us we can see. It is often described in terms of the ‘central’ and ‘peripheral’ fields.
The screening process looks for “holes” in your visual field,
which can be a good early warning sign of some common eye
problems, such as glaucoma and other neurological conditions.
Because this test is a very useful aid in diagnosis, it is often
used to supplement your regular eye exam and may be repeated as
part of a series to monitor an eye condition.
Field test results are completely subjective; they rely solely
on your input. The test only takes about 20 minutes but some
find it a little tiring. On occasion it may be necessary to
repeat the test at a later date to confirm results.
